This is basically becoming a live streaming feed of my life. I just went to this AMAZING talk by James Schamus. It was SO thought-provoking even though I didn’t understand a quarter of the things coming out of his mouth. It was so interesting. He talked about narrative theory and speech act, which were so confusing but so interesting. He started off mentioning different possible narrations of a story ie. first person, third person, etc. Then he started talking about narrative theory. So when there is a spy sitting in on a meeting, the narration of the story is completely different than if there were not a spy in the meeting. And then he related it to how the narration of our lives is changed by constant surveillance. It was mind boggling and I was about to scream from brain overload.
